The strong contrast between the dark, almost night sky and the warm, earthy colors of the buildings. This creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously something Melancholy and hopeful within it. The picture tells a story for me about Loneliness and community, of alienation and belonging, of past and future. It makes the viewer think about how many lives and stories are hidden behind the facades of a city.
